CATHOLIC AD BEFORE ELECTION DAY: Criminal behavior...

I was a little stunned but probably should not be surprised that the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops placed a full page, color ad in all the newspapers on the day before our elections, calling for Religious Freedom which they maintain is being violated by the Obama administration by insisting that contraception be covered in health insurance plans.

This is another “undisguised” attempt by a religious organization to influence our elections which they are prohibited from doing through IRS laws…which, as I have pointed out, not enforced by either Democrats or Republicans.

My blood boils when I see this because our Founding Fathers worked so hard at trying to prevent this from ever happening. Our Founding Fathers knew what happened to countries that allowed religion to rule and we in 2012 know full well what happens when religion rules as in the theocracy in Iran, the sectarian violence in other Middle East countries, the crimes against humanity perpetrated by the Taliban and al-Qaeda and the list goes on and on and on…

You would think that we would learn from history, our own and world history as well as current history what a hell hole we are entering if we allow religions to dictate our laws.

Voting for Romney is voting for RELIGIOUS TYRANNY and not RELIGIOUS FREEDOM.

WE HAVE A RIGHT TO BE FREE FROM RELIGIOUS TYRANNY…

BIPARTISANSHIP MY ASS ROMNEY!

Lately Romney has been shouting that Obama does not work with Republicans and does not want to work with Republicans but when he is elected he will be a bi-partisan president, working with both parties…

This is absolute bullshit and I will tell you why...

The Republicans did not hide their animosity towards the Obama presidency, they openly stated that they would OBSTRUCT Obama at every turn so they can guarantee his defeat in 2012 and they said this in 2008.

The Republican leadership order to all Republicans in Congress was to OPPOSE any and every Obama attempt to govern the nation responsibly EVEN IF YOU AGREE WITH WHAT HE IS DOING.

For Republicans to deliberately prevent Obama from governing, to me, is UN-AMERICAN because they are deliberately preventing passage of all laws or acts by being the PARTY OF NO; for Romney to deliberately accuse Obama of not reaching out to the other party is a big-ass LIE and he knows it.

Both parties lie and obstruct but this time, the obstruction was down right damaging to the country and to the welfare of Americans who have been suffering enough under this recession.

Another reason I cannot allow Republicans to get my vote.

WEINGARTZ will not offer contraception coverage...

Just found out that WEINGARTZ LAWN AND GARDEN EQUIPMENT, the place I bought my riding lawn mower and other lawn equipment from is in the news because it appears the owner is so bloody Catholic that he is fighting in court, the federal mandate that the health insurance he provides to his employees cover CONTRACEPTION.

Well, as you know, this issue does make my blood boil somewhat and its too bad I will never need any more lawn equipment because I would never buy any from a company that defies federal law for one and is run by such an idiotic Catholic stooge.

Please imagine if you will, applying for a job at a company and having to check what religion the owner is because that would determine what the offered health insurance would cover…are we on Mars?

I will not expound on the fact that most Catholics consider the Vatican’s ban on contraception as not in touch with human reality and downright stupid but I will say again and again and again that religion cannot play any role in government and the health insurance mandates that prescribe birth control (contraception) coverage for all is a law not a request.

Whoever the owner of Weingartz is he needs to obey the law and the law says that if you don’t provide contraception coverage to your employees for whatever reason you get fined a minimum of $2,000 per employee per year.

And if you claim the law violates your religious freedom I can only say that you have the right and the freedom to not use contraceptive devices and forbid your family not to use them but you have NO RIGHT to push your idiotic religious beliefs on anyone else and that includes your 170 employees who may or may not even be Catholic and have A RIGHT to contraception coverage like everyone else in this country.

This needs to be nipped in the bud and fast…or the Republicans will reverse the law and make religion the law of the land as in TALIBAN anyone…?

CANNOT VOTE FOR A FLIP-FLOPPER...

I would like to address another reason why I cannot gibe Mitt Romney my vote: his deliberate campaign of deception by flip-flopping on issues.

Flip-flopping is not new to politics but I have never seen a deliberate campaign to win the office of the president of the United States by promising everything to everyone even if some of those promises are at odds with each other as in:  I am anti-gay marriage as well as I am pro-gay marriage, anti-choice and pro-choice, against Obamacare and for Obamacare, and the list goes on and on and on…

To me, no matter how good you think an individual is for the job of president, the fact that the individual will not take up solid positions on issues but vacillates “on purpose” means that we really cannot tell what this individual stands for and cannot vote for him because we may be voting for someone that is not who we think he is…we cannot take that chance.

We may not like some of the things Obama does or stands for BUT we know what he stands for and we know he will not change into someone else once in office.

I cannot vote for a “trickster” because this is serious business and not just a political game.

REPUBLICANS DON'T WANT US TO REMEMBER THEIR BUSH YEARS...WHY?

I would like to convey my thoughts as to why the Republicans do not deserve our votes and do not deserve to be placed in a leadership position.

Today’s Republicans have chosen to utterly forget and ignore the eight (8) years of Republican rule under George Bush just preceding Obama’s term.

This strategy of total denial or amnesia of the Bush administration is for a reason and the reason is that they cannot defend, in any manner, what happened under their watch that helped cause the greatest economic collapse since the Great Depression.

If Americans were reminded that it was under the Republicans that all the economic shit hit the fan, they would never allow them to control the rudder again; Americans would see Obama as basically someone cleaning up Republican shit which obviously is taking longer than one term and he needs another term to finish the clean-up.

By forgetting their immediate past, the Republicans have made the case that it was Obama that caused the economic mess and is responsible for our economic woes…this of course is total bullshit.

You may have noticed that during the Republican convention this year, Bush was never mentioned, his eight years in office never mentioned, the Republicans eight years in power never mentioned but what was shown is Clint Eastwood making an ass out of himself talking to an empty chair.

Anyone with an objective and inquiring mind would want to know why such a big chunk of Republican history has been swept up under the rug…because it is proof positive of how their leadership sucks and has sucked our economy to the point of depression and they want us to give them another chance?

This has got to be the biggest political con job by the Republicans in our history and Americans are falling for it.

GIVE OBAMA ANOTHER TERM TO CLEAN UP THE REPUBLICAN’S ECONOMIC MESS…

MI PROPOSALS: Pressing our HOT buttons...

The campaign promoting the Proposals here in Michigan has been totally infuriating and I would say, downright historical as nothing like this, I am sure, has ever been experienced by Michigan voters…ever.

I have read about how absolutely dirty American politics have been in our history but I think we have reached a new low in deceit and misinformation.

But I must admit that these very well crafted and researched campaigns of deceit are based on the fact that we as voters are wide open to being deceived with messages designed to hit our hot button. This hot button makes us believe something that may be utterly false but something WE WANT TO BELIEVE IS TRUE and that is the key that these people know about and use to influence us.

People have a natural bias that has developed over the years and we tend to gravitate to stories and messages that happen to support that bias and dismiss stories and messages that challenge our bias…and that is what these highly paid ad creators know about us and boy do they exploit that fact.

I am not immune to this phenomenon but knowing I am also subject to being mislead, I tend to go outside of my supporting comfort circle, and search out opinions of others that may not be as biased as mine and I especially look for thee opinions of people and organizations that can be objective because they look at both sides and choose the one that makes the most sense.

In the case of the Michigan Proposals, I tend to look at what the Newspapers say. Newspapers present both sides of an issue and then decide which side makes more sense for the benefit of the state as a whole or to the population of the state and not to a narrow band of special interests.

In our Michigan cases, the newspapers of the state have banded together to recommend what they feel is in all our best interests and in the matter of the Michigan Proposals, they all agree.

Vote yes on Proposal 1 and NO on all the rest.

I realize that many people do not read the newspapers and rely on the TV as their source of political date and that is a very bad source to use to make up our minds about the issues being presented.

Uninformed voters do a disservice to Michigan and to Michiganians. I urge you to do the right thing and find out the FACTS about issues and not allow professional but despicable marketers to convince you to vote against your own welfare.

YES on Proposal 1 and NO on all the rest.
