The other mention of the city of CARTAGENA
in COLUMBIA
where we visited in January was in regards to President Obama’s visit and what
his SECRET SERVICE agents did before he got there.
The Secret Service is tasked with protecting the president
no matter where he goes and they usually go ahead of the president’s visit to
make sure all security measures are in place.
In this particular case, a prostitute that was not paid her
agreed on price, made so much noise that the story is now an international
sensation.
Coming on the heels of the GSA (General Services Agency)
scandalous party in Las Vegas
which cost the taxpayers plenty and accomplished absolutely nothing for the
taxpayers, the partying by Secret Service agents, ostensibly on our dime,
probably came at the utmost worst time for Obama.
I suppose, the legitimate concern here is the possible
breach in the president’s security operations; could the prostitutes learned
details of the president’s agenda and give that information out to possible
terrorist assassins?
I suppose that the question is a legitimate question but I
feel others in the public are probably outraged that the Secret Service agents
would party so hearty and with prostitutes no less…we are after all a very
moral society ;-)
I admire Columbia (very Catholic) and the fact that they
have decriminalized prostitution and actually have it under good control there
unlike in the US where we are too stupid to see that the oldest profession is
going no where fast and will remain with us forever.
Anyway, in Columbia
the prostitute has to leave her identification at the front desk of the hotel
(Caribe Hotel…very nice) before she goes up to the room where she will perform
the service she was contracted for.
In this case, the Secret Service agent did not want to pay
her (renege on the deal?) at which time she called the POLICE which is her
right since this was a simple, honest and legal business deal and she was being
obviously robbed…love this law!
So what is the big deal here? Obviously we have a lot of
immature men working for our government in very sensitive positions. We also
have a department that is obviously not managed properly by responsible adults.
Should the taxpayers be pissed? I think so but worse, what
other areas in our government are being run by bozos and bimbos just having fun
on our dime?
