ISLAMORADA, FLORIDA: A short break from the snow

We just got back from ISLAMORADA, FLORIDA which is an island in the middle of the Florida Keys.

We heard about a resort called CHEECA LODGE AND SPA and thought it might be a good place to try.
We usually pick an island in the Caribbean at this time of year but decided we needed a change.

The weather at Islamorada is usually in the 80s at this time but unfortunately we encountered a cold spell for a few days but as you can see from the pictures, the greener was intoxicating and the ability to wear shorts instead of layers and layers of clothing was quite refreshing.

We came back to temperatures in the teens with snow and ice all over the place as usual when you take a vacation in February.

March and Easter is around the corner…
