We usually go out to a Roma Hall party on New Year’s Eve and celebrate with family and friends. This year we decided to stay home and celebrate the New Year with my mother who will turn 89 in 2011. Maybe the passing of my father-in-law in 2010 at 92 just took the wind out of our sails somewhat and made us remember that people do not live forever and every New Year maybe their last.
On the other hand, it was my grandson Luke’s FIRST New Year!
