ISLAM: Burning a Quran does not justify killings...

We have all heard about the riots in Afghanistan that killed many U.N. personnel in Afghanistan there to help the Afghan people, all because some twit pastor with no real congregation decided to burn a Quran / Koran or however you spell it in Florida.

Some people in the U.S. including General Petraeus blamed the idiot pastor for the slaughter of innocent people in Afghanistan; how stupid is that.

I don’t care if he burnt thousands of Qurans or if Muslims burned thousands of Bibles, what the hell does it matter; they are only words printed on paper. How can you justify killing a human being because some nitwit burned a book or drew a unflattering cartoon of someone that you care about…so what!

For someone like General Petraeus to put the blame on the idiot in Florida instead of laying the blame at the feet of the idiots doing the rioting and the killing is totally absurd; the general was justifying the slaughter due to the actions of a deranged religious idiot in Florida?

As more news comes out of Afghanistan about the incident, it appears that specific people like members of the Taliban, enraged the mob by showing them YouTube videos of the burning and convincing the mob that only the killing of infidels would appease Allah.

We can equate that to a mob of vigilantes in a western movie getting liquored up and someone with a rope saying lets go and hang that varmint.

We have to start laying the blame for these despicable actions where it belongs, on the people that carry the actions out, the people that incite these riots and the religion(s) and religious leaders that condone those actions. One cannot respect a religious leader or a religion that espouses that kind of behavior.

Islamic leaders in the Detroit / Michigan area came out against the riot almost immediately, defending the religion of Islam which forbids the taking of innocent life and condemning the atrocities. Islamic leaders have been criticized in the past for not speaking out against the violence committed in the name of Islam and obviously, they have taken the criticism to heart and have acted on it.

I just hope our own leaders get the message and start reacting appropriately instead of trying to be too bloody diplomatic when no diplomacy is warranted…call it like it is, a bunch of loonies on a killing spree that need to be prosecuted as murderers and not some religious vigilantes.
