I am very glad Chris Christie followed his own earlier advice when he said his time has not yet come to run for president no matter how many Republicans are begging him to run.
Republicans are begging him because they know they have candidates that probably cannot beat Obama in 2012 and Christie is very attractive because he seems electable BUT right now, he is not. He also said no way to a VP nomination.
Lets see what he does as governor of New Jersey first. He has started out quite well but he needs to establish a history of accomplishments plus a history of his political and economic philosophies.
I think he is a moderate and will be an attractive candidate in four (4) years time. Today's Republicans are calling him too liberal which means he will be just right for the country at large.
He probably needs to lose some weight just to show he can. Obesity is a a national epidemic and he is not just fat but obese; he needs to set an example. Also being obese may deter him from doing his job properly and he may be a health risk in a very stressful presidential role.
Hope he keeps himself in the public's eye cause' four (4) years will pass quickly.
BUT what does this say about the Republican front runners? Romney probably would do a good job but many just don't like him and the way he flip-flops on issues. Perry is dead in the water. Huntsman just never cought on or does he still have a chance (my vote) and Cain, well I just don't think he is electable.
