The trial of Pope Benedict’s former butler started Saturday.
This is the butler (Paolo Gabriele) that is charged with
stealing the pope’s confidential papers and passing them to an Italian
journalist.
When asked why he did it, Gabriele said that he saw evil and
corruption everywhere in the church and felt it was his sacred duty to expose
all this as a way bringing the church back on the right track.
Let us see how the Vatican handles this one…
