Everybody at work was talking about the killing of an
American ambassador to Libya
along with three other embassy employees with maybe a Navy Seal among them.
Muslim crowds went wild because someone showed them a movie,
supposedly made in the U.S.
that defamed or made fun of their Prophet Muhammad which in their minds is a
justification to kill any and all Americans?
We have seen this scene before on a number of occasions like
when some Danes published cartoons of Muhammad.
To us in the West, we see these people as not ready to join
the civilized world, existing as sort of sub humans induced into murderous
rages by insane ideas about religion and their own roles in that religion.
These human robots are manipulated by smart people who know how to use these
not so smart people for their own purposes.
The offending movie, we now know, was financed by some
Coptic Christians in Egypt to do what…more violence against Americans that are
trying to help the countries achieve democracy…what benefit are these riots to
the Copts of Egypt?
There is obviously more to this story and it will come out
in the coming days but the fact remains that the behavior of the people in
these riots against Americans or against anyone that supposedly insults their
religion is totally unacceptable in our world and they must be shown how
unacceptable this type of behavior really is.
The only way that I know of is the Pavlovian way and that is
to show them that there are consequences to their unacceptable behavior…like
teaching children how to behave properly.
It will be interesting to see how the supposedly “sane and
responsible” authorities in Libya, Egypt, Yemen, Pakistan, Iraq and all the
rest of the countries that have seen rioting in the streets on this issue,
respond.
Many at my place of employment seem to feel that helping
these countries is hopeless and a waste of time when such murderous
anti-American behavior can erupt in just minutes and with such devastating
consequences.
The Republicans tried to make hay out of this incident but
were soon smacked upside the head…we need to be united in times like these.
We live in interesting times…
